On November 27 and 28, 2014, the SA-URG project partners met at the Navarrabiomed facilities in Pamplona-Iruña in order to carry out a detailed follow-up of the project development. During the meeting, aspects related to the management and communication of the project were discussed, in addition to sharing the progress of the different actions planned.
The SA-URG project seeks to improve training, implement digital and technological tools, and optimize health response in emergency situations. At this meeting, the partners highlighted the progress made in these areas, underlining the importance of cross-border cooperation and knowledge sharing to strengthen emergency care systems.
As part of the activities, the Navarra Emergency Subdirectorate and the Technical Directorate of Vital Emergency Care of the Government of Navarra, organized a visit to the SOS Navarra emergency center. During this visit, the participants were able to learn first hand about the functioning of the health emergency system in Navarra, including the coordination, resources and protocols used in critical situations and during the San Fermin festival.
The SA-URG members were also given a guided tour of the San Fermín running of the bulls, where they were introduced to the medical equipment that is deployed annually to ensure the safety of runners and spectators. This practical example served to illustrate the planning and execution of a highly complex emergency operation.
